This CCTV footage shows the moment a teenager smashed his way into Cardiff City defender Sol Bamba’s home before driving off in his Range Rover.

Daniel Flynn and Kyle Harris have been sentenced for their parts in the burglary, but two other men have not been traced and police are appealing for information to help.

Detective Chief Inspector Lloyd Williams said: “Being a victim of burglary is an extremely traumatic experience and South Wales Police is committed to preventing such crimes and arresting those responsible.”

The incident happened at Mr Bamba’s then family home on Began Road in Old St Mellons, Cardiff, on the afternoon of July 27 last year. They no longer live at the address.

Mr Bamba’s wife Chloe and their three children were not at the property at the time, but came home to find the patio door smashed and the whole house ransacked.

Flynn, 18, from Rhossilly Road in Rumney, admitted burglary and driving without a licence or insurance. He was sentenced on Wednesday to an 18-month community order with requirements.

Co-defendant Harris, 26, from Mount Pleasant Avenue in Llanrumney, was jailed for two years in November last year.

A year on, detectives are still appealing for information to help them identify the other two men and locate the stolen property.

DCI Williams said: “It has been almost exactly a year since this happened and loyalties might have changed in that time.”

Three men were captured on CCTV arriving in a black Honda Civic at the house on Began Road between 4.38pm and 4.53pm.

Footage shows Flynn smashing the patio door at the back of the house.

The whole house was ransacked and valuables worth thousands of pounds – including a Cartier watch, Chanel bag and Louis Vuitton bag – were stolen.

Keys to the black Range Rover, registration LM68 JWP, were also taken and Flynn was spotted running up to the vehicle and driving off.

Harris stayed in the Honda Civic, which was later found abandoned and damaged in Ely.
